King’s College hospital is a renowned NHS Foundation Trust Hospital and research institution in south east London.Kings in partnership with KCL and Guys/St Thomas is an accredited health sciences centre, Kings Health Partners, which is an organisation committed to elevate clinical research and science within health care. The non- invasive cardiology and echo service at King’s has an international reputation for its clinical and academic research and the invasive angiography, PAMI,EP and Device implant and follow up service is an exciting and expanding service.

This permanent Band 5 full time /37.5 hours a week position, is based at the Princess Royal University Hospital, Orpington, Kent and is available for an enthusiastic individual looking to work in a supportive and patient centred environment.

The cardiac department at the King’s Princess Royal University Hospital Site performs procedures including ETT, Echo, arrhythmia and BP analysis, syncope services, transoesophageal echo, dobutamine stress echo, 3D echo, exercise stress echo, valve stress echo,device implant and follow up and Angiography. Further training in complex devices, PAMI and EP is available at the King’s Denmark Hill site.

You will be expected to provide quality support to the ECG service, which includes 24 hr ECG, 7 day ECG monitoring and BP monitoring and be proficient in writing and providing a concise accurate written report for the 24Hr ambulatory service without supervision.

Dependants on previous experience, also play a vital role within Cardiac Rhythm Management, Angiography Service, Exercise Tolerance and Exercise Echocardiography & Echocardiography diagnostic investigations. This post expects that further training will be undertaken, in other areas of Cardiac Diagnostics to obtain skills, to assist the Specialist Clinical Physiologists with the guidance of the Senior Physiologists.
