Rheumatology Specialist Nurse
Part time post (15hrs per week)
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic nurse to join the rheumatology team. The part-time post is based in The Department of Rheumatology, Kings College Hospital Orpington Site and offers a wide range of opportunities working as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
You will be joining a nursing team in the midst of developing a range of nurse led services and will be responsible for running nurse led clinics.Considerations include assessments specific to Rheumatology, patient education regarding their condition and treatment options, Helpline support, management of chronic disease and incorporation of best practice according to national guidelines.In addition, academic and commercial research takes place in the department and there may be opportunities to become involved in this activity.
The successful applicant must have a special interest in Rheumatological conditions,experience of managing psychological elements of chronic conditions, have evidence of leadership skills and be excited by the opportunities a nurse led service offers to both the patient and the Trust. You must be organised with excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be committed to continued personal development.
