Do you want to be part of the NHS digital revolution? The Pharmacy Informatics team at Kings is excited to offer this newly created post as part of our expansion. The team is responsible for pharmacy computer systems and data integrity across our multi-site trust. This Band 4 Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for administration and support of number of specialised pharmacy software systems, and will play a vital role as we implement new digital initiatives across our organization, such as dm+d coding and Falsified Medicines Directive compliance. The postholder will be active in drug-usage and financial data reporting, as well as supporting the development of ward-based dispensing. The postholder will maintain their status as a qualified Pharmacy Technician by contributing to the evening, weekend and bank holiday rota, and via CPD submissions.
This is an exceptional opportunity for a pharmacy technician to gain valuable experience in pharmacy software and data systems, including:
• Dispensing and stock control (Emis)
• Environmental monitoring (Tutela)
• Prescription tracking (PTS)
• Automated dispensing robots (BD/ROWA)
The role will also provide the opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary team and develop skills in a variety of tasks including reporting, procedure writing, staff training and system maintenance.
Applicants must be IT-literate, methodical, have strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills, and a good work ethic. The postholder will be based at the Princess Royal University Hospital in Bromley, but will be expected to work at other KCH sites (primarily Kings College Hospital, Denmark Hill) on a regular basis. As such, you must be highly organized and self-motivated.
Please note that in the event of a large number of applications, the Trust may choose to close the recruitment process in advance of the displayed closure date.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
